Each child at LEA Ministry will have its own bed – that has been the goal of the new dormitory project starting in 2021.

Pastor Zak and his wife Resilie have a big heart. They regularly take in needy children in their modest house. Sometimes they host more than ten children at a time. Martin Tango was one of the children in the past who grew up in Pastor Zak’s house, protecting him from becoming a street child.

There was again a lot to celebrate at LEA Dongobesh Secondary! In the National Assessment 2023 the LEA school ranked first in the Mbulu District in this test of excellence. Out of 85 schools in the whole Manyara region, the school ranked no. 14. Congratulations again to LEA for this outstanding performance!

Christian Metzler, our financial expert and auditor, made best use of his presence in Tanzania by running a financial audit at LEA Ministry.

One of the important goals of our project at Karama Primary School is an improved sanitation. A solar powered system for fresh drinking water has been installed in 2021. Now the project is finished by adding four new toilets for the girls.

First of all… wow. I can’t believe I flew to Africa for 6 weeks. Time has gone by too fast to take it all in. I experienced so much in so little time. But I feel truly blessed and guided by God.

A school partnership between Puricelli Realschule Plus in Rheinböllen / Germany and LEA Secondary School in Dongobesh / Tanzania can act as an eye opener and change the worldview – for both sides.

Karama School is not connected to the electricity grid yet – but there is a sophisticated digital e-learning system available in the school now.

Access to learning and teaching materials is a well known problem in Tanzania. Very often 10 children have to share one schoolbook. To mitigate this issue, Bridge of Hope has funded a new library in Karama Primary School in 2021.

Bridge of Hope has funded an extensive water project for Karama School and the surrounding villages in 2020/21. The impact of having fresh drinking water at the school compound cannot be overestimated.
