Digital learning at Tumati Secondary School in Dongobesh

Tumati Secondary School in Dongobesh is a public school in Mbulu district. It is the 23rd school that we have had the privilege of equipping with a digital learning system. We’ve been working with the private Christian schools of LEA Ministry in this region since 2018. They have been successfully implementing digital learning for over 4 years now. We now want other schools to benefit from this experience.

Together with LEA Ministry, we decided last year that we also want to support public schools in this region. We want to avoid creating jealousy or the private schools being seen as elitist. The LEA schools were immediately enthusiastic about the idea and offered to support the new schools with their expertise.

The briefings and training sessions were successfully carried out by teachers and students from LEA Secondary School in early 2025. In this way, digital learning can spread and be used for the benefit of the entire community. We are fascinated by the joy and the commitment with which the teachers and pupils at LEA share their wealth of experience with others. The fact that young people from Tanzania have the courage to hold a training course in front of a crowd of teachers and pupils that they don’t know before is something quite remarkable in African context.
