Masomo Bunifu Training in Haydom and Rukoma

Telling children biblical stories in a creative way – that’s what Masomo Bunifu ya Biblia is all about. Masomo Bunifu is a program for Sunday school teachers in Tanzania and was developed in cooperation with the Alliance Mission.

In the first half of March, we organized two Masomo Bunifu trainings in Haydom (Mbulu District) and Rukoma (Kagera). 70 committed team members from the surrounding church communities were trained in how to organize Sunday school services in an attractive and child-friendly way.

The Masomo Bunifu training courses are very praxis-oriented. All theory is immediately put into practice and reflected in small groups, where also personal experiences are exchanged.

At the end of the three-day training course, all participants received a certificate and one Masomo Bunifu book including a package of work materials for their respective age group.

The trainees will pass on their experience to other members of their Sunday school team. Over the next few months, many hundreds of children will benefit from these Masomo Bunifu trainings.

We are very grateful to our local partners for taking care of the local logistics and for inviting and feeding the 70 training participants. Pastor Zak and his Mashahidi team in Haydom and George Leo from World Vision in Bukoba have already made great experiences with the Masomo Bunifu program in the past.

With all the positive feedback, we assume that this was not the last Masomo Bunifu training that we have organized in Tanzania.
